Preparing a response
The rule
A response without a prototype is a “we will call you back” letter. It gets scrolled past. Half an hour on a working version lifts a response above any words.
Bring
A working prototype
A link someone can click, or a short video. Not a mockup and not a plan — a version the client can touch.
Bring
A short breakdown of the brief
How you understood the task, what you built into the prototype, what you left for later. Separate the brief’s facts from your assumptions.
Bring
Questions for the client
Two or three questions on substance show depth better than any portfolio. Ask them in the discussion under your response.
Before sending
Run the response through your AI: “what in this response would make the client hesitate?” — and fix what it finds. Academy lesson 6 walks the whole response chain.
